Sample Course Schedule
(The following is an
example of a six-hour / five-day program. Some students choose to study 4-12
hours in five days and some design programs lasting several months to a
year.)
DAY 1 - Double
Session: Introduction, Dream Incubation and Diagramming.
Practicum: Review
tape of session # 1 Incubate a dream and record it in your journal. Diagram this
or another dream.
DAY 2 - Single
Session: Review of incubation experience and diagramming. Dream Outlining and
Descriptive Definitions.
Practicum: Record
one spontaneous dream, diagram, and outline it. Review the tape of session #2.
DAY 3 - Single
Session: Review of the practicum. Eliciting good Descriptions of dream elements,
Recapitulating, Early Bridging.
Practicum: Review
the tape of session #3. Tape a partial dream interview, focus on: Descriptions,
Recapitulation and Bridge. Diagram and outline the dream. Record a spontaneous
dream.
DAY 4 - Single
Session: Review of taped practice interview, and diagramming and outline;
Overview of Middle and Late Bridging and Summaries.
Practicum: Review
the week's dreams and dream work. Organize and summarize information and final
questions.
DAY 5 - Final
Single Session: Summary and Overview. Planning your independent work with the
Dream Interview Method.
12-Hour
Brief Intensives
A 12 hour-five day program gives us the luxury of having double and triple
50-minute sessions which we are happy offer when our schedules permit. If
we can not accommodate a 12-hour program in a particular week, we often work out
8 to 10-hour programs.
