GAYLE DELANEY, Ph.D.
Dr. Delaney is the
Founding President of the international Association for the Study of Dreams. As
a pioneer in the practical applications of dreaming. She developed the Dream
Interview Method of dream interpretation, and triggered the modern interest in
dream incubation or sleeping on a problem with the publication of her first
book,
Living Your Dreams in 1979. She graduated with highest
honors from Princeton University in 1972 and earned her doctorate in clinical
psychology from Union Graduate School in 1977.
In her San Francisco Bay Area offices, as well as at the Delaney and Flowers Dream Center, Dr. Delaney trains
professionals and conducts private dream classes for individuals, couples and
groups. She lectures worldwide on the use of dreams for creative problem solving
to organizations including Johns Hopkins University, American Bankers
Association, and Stanford School of Business. She hosted the first prime-time
daily radio talk show on dreams in 1982, has been a national columnist, and has
presented her work on American (5 appearances on "Oprah," NBC Nightly
News, Today Show, Good Morning America, The View) French, Italian, German, and Canadian radio and
television.

Dr. Flowers, who founded The Dream
Center with Dr. Delaney in 1981, is a Phi Beta Kappa and 1968 honors graduated
fron1 Case Western Reserve Medical School. She completed her psychiatric
residency at Stanford University and subsequently directed two mental health
clinics in California. Currently, she is in private practice in San Francisco
doing individual, couple and group psychotherapy.
As the host of BET National Cable
Television daily call-in series, "Dr. Flowers on Call," she answered questions
on the use psychiatric principles in every day life and demonstrated the
Dream Interview Method of interpretation. Dr. Flowers lectures on minority and
relationship issues and presents her work on radio. She is a Clinical
Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco, and was
the first Chairman of the Board of the Association for the Study of Dreams. She has published several
papers on the applications of the Dream Interview Method of dream work
with, among others, people in drug addiction recovery groups.
